happy 22nd bday!

met up with val,brig and khalie. ate at plaza sing

manhattan fish market fish and chips dory fish:

pretty good but i THINK fish and cos better, more crisp. but super filling and cheaper.

then walked around for a while before having dessert at secret recipe:

(clockwise: baked oreo cheesecake, choc, strawberry chocolate, caupochino cheese)

looks plain but the capuchino cheesecake is really good. capuchino flavour is strong but subtle enough to complement the cheese.

it was really nice meeting up, laughed like crazy. memories! lak lak lol!

chocolate mousse

this week:

went haji lane with val

ate at some egyptian place

tzinkjzhi (totally wrong spelling)

it was  a horrible dirty place. felt like bugs were gonna spill out of the walls any second.

but the food was interesting.

haji lane is kinda querky. stuff there is really unique and quirky but kinda ex. val found a necklace that was really nice but it was $88.

so i just bought these nice wine glasses and halfheart handle cups. $2 each.

fontaine described my awesome  marshmallow design as a whitehead!

went for SPOT interview yesterday. kinda sucked. i should have bullshit more.

to prepare for the interview i actually read the newspaper in full for the first time for 2 days.  i cant believe i was so ignorant about these current issues:
The flood in Pakistan. Taleban blocking foreign aid. China and US tensions after joint military exercise with South Korea in the Yellow sea. Severe Famine in Western Africa, Niger. WFO running out of funds.

from now on i will read the news everyday.

anyway,

there was this girl in the interview that said she wanted to help foreign workers have better transport options. i was like screaming in my head “ARE YOU SERIOUS. ARE YOU FRIGGIN SERIOUS YOU SLUT”

im not crazy.

and then there was this girl that went on and on  for like 3 mins on her course optometry.

i din stand out at all, other than being short and sweet: i wanna be in the programme cos i believe i can make the most out of it.i hope that was good enough. 😦

i got a belly piercing last week at far east

didn’t really hurt. cant really describe it but just imagine pinching your belly button with your fingerails. well..fingernails like mine.

but i guess im not too great a comparison…but dunno who said it was TEN TIMES MORE PAINFUL THAN AN INJECTION. purposely freak me out one lo now that i think bout it.now i see her evil plan.

ANYWAY

it goes exactly like how you see in videos. mark with pen, clamp, pierce. done.

i want these pair of shoes from riverisland but its $57. 😦

so i got these shoes from the little things she needs 2 for $29.90

made lemon cupcakes with fontaine. super nice!

the inside is really light with subtle lemon essence. and the mild brown crisp on the outside.  the lemon custard topping has a really strong lemon flavour. and the best thing is it isnt too sweet

now my mum wants me to make 60 for her rc welcome back party. 🙂

for her welcome backDINNER i plan to prepare a special dinner course for her:

entree: cream of leek soup

main course: roasted chicken with paprika potatoes and vegetables

desert: raspberry-ricotta parfait

im still pending on the soups; i dunno whether i should do leek or celery but i want sth light. i need a guinea pig

eee…! cant wait!

went to sydney australia from last wed to this tues

i travelled alone for the first time. and i had to tranist at adelaide too. couldnt sleep was a little anxious throughout the first 8 hour flight. was pretty tired cos the night before i slept late and had test in school in the morning. notice eye bags! took this pic in the plane’s toilet.

reached sydney at 11 plus sydney time and met up with everybody

this thing where everyone’s in a ring and the couple goes around and hugs everyone one by one,thanking them for coming.

they’re so intimate and personal, so muc better than chinese weddings where yoiu cant see from one end of the room to the other.

next day we took the 7:30 am bus to jindabyne (base of snowy mountain)

and we spotted SO MUCH snow!!!!

next noon we drove a four wheel drive to perishier (wat a name..)up from jindabyne where the snow is 

the snow was so amazing it was like a dream.

snow felt like moistened cotton candy in my hands.

in the end it was really really eventful.
